Quote of the Week - Merry Christmas
[FOR THE SAKE OF OUR BROTHER]
In a stable
In a manger
In the cold winter's air
In the arms of his mother
A child's lying there
In a city
In a village
Though the years have gone by
The child still remains
With the dream still close by
And each year on this night that child reawakens
And each year on this night that hope rebegins
That the dream he has offered might one day be taken
For the sake of our brother
For the child who's forgotten
For the dream that is still lying there
O' come all ye faithful
Joyful and triumphant
O' come ye, o' come ye
To Bethlehem
Come and adore him
Born the king of angels
O' come let us adore him
O' come let us adore him
O' come let us adore him
Christ the lord
In a stable
In a manger
In the cold winter's air
In the arms of his mother a child's lying there

Another Day
All the talk has been about the end of the world - the zombie apocalypse - the burning comets - and yet here we are, still. Another day has broken on the horizon and we are still here to see it. But I find myself wondering. What if it really had been the end of the world as we know it? What if a cataclysmic event tumbled our world into a completely unfamiliar state? How would you have responded? How would I have responded?
We take so much of our surroundings for granted. The beautiful sky - the strong and enduring evergreens - the people that live within our personal realms and we claim to love. I challenge everyone who reads this, be it today or next year, to look around you. What do you see? Who can you touch? Take it all in - cloak yourself in the beauty and love. And be grateful for what is in our world. You never know when it will be gone. Embrace it while you can.
