Willamette Falls - Oregon City

I took these pictures back in March.  These falls are the widest in the American Northwest and are located on the Willamette River in Oregon City, Oregon

I believe this fellow posed for me!

The next shot was taken last week.  I was concerned about why there was no water.   The Willamette Falls Legacy project's facebook page explained it this way - "during low water (usually mid July through August), the dam is holding additional water back to ensure fish passage.  Once fall rains begin, you will see more water flow over the falls."  Makes sense.

    1. Thanks! You can miss these falls! They are right off Hwy 99E along the Willamette River. There is a small turn out where you can view them - miss the turn out and you're down river!
