Here on the northern hemisphere, September is the beginning of the Autumnal Equinox.  Today, September 22, is the first day of fall!  Here are some photos to honor the season.

Oregon Coastal Range - Seeking the Fungi

We went into the Oregon Coastal range yesterday looking for wild mushrooms to take home and cook.  We found some fungi, but not the kind to take home for cooking.  We also found some wild life.  We headed up the long, winding road to the Drift Creek Falls trail head (although we didn't hike out to the falls).

We pulled over into a clearing to check it out and here is what we found!
