Senior Pictures Revisited

Remember back in September when I posted Senior Pictures, a post about being asked to do my grandson's senior pictures?  Well, they are finally done - and here are just a few!

Waiting for Snow

We don't get snow here in the Willamette Valley very often - especially in the area I live in (often referred to as the banana belt).

Oh it gets cold enough, but there never seems to be any moisture when it's cold.  But every now and then......

Here are some winters past!

I spent the day with my brother, walking around Portland and viewing the sights -

Winter is for the Birds

Winter is just about here - its cold enough anyway!  I don't feed the birds any other time of the year.  Fish and game told me it's not a good idea - it draws the predatory animals.  But in the winter it's harder for them to find food - and so I feed them!

Thanksgiving is Family

It seems the current trend these days is to skip Thanksgiving and everyone go shopping.  But I remember the days of the smell of turkey roasting and permeating the whole house with warmth and love.  The family all started to arrive and there were hugs and laughter.  We all sat around the table and shared the pleasures of a meal and the company of the ones we loved.  It was a day of total relaxation and joy.  No one was in a hurry to leave - No one was thinking about the hustle and bustle of the days ahead.  It was the one day we seemed to live in the moment and relish the beauty of all that we had.

On this week of Thanksgiving, I plan to spend the days reflecting on the beauty of my life and the people around me.  Will you join me?

Today I celebrate family and Thanksgivings past.....

May your holiday be blessed.
